Overview

Automates scraping Indeed jobs via Bright Data, uses AI to qualify opportunities, and organizes results in Google Sheets for a targeted job search or sales prospecting.

🧠 Description & Use Case

This workflow automates the process of finding relevant job opportunities by scraping Indeed.com using Bright Data, enriching the data with AI analysis from OpenAI, and organizing everything in Google Sheets. It allows you to filter through thousands of job listings to find roles that are a perfect fit for your specific criteria.

🔄 How It Works:

  1. Trigger the Search

    • The workflow starts when a user submits the On form submission - Discover Jobs form, providing a Job Location, Keyword, and Country.

  2. Initiate Scraping with Bright Data

    • The form data is used to trigger a web scraping job on Indeed via the HTTP Request- Post API call to Bright Data node. This tells Bright Data what to look for.

  3. Poll for Results

    • Since web scraping can take time, the workflow enters a polling loop:
      • It waits for one minute using the Wait node.
      • It checks the job status with the Snapshot Progress HTTP request.
      • The If node checks if the job is still running. If so, it loops back to the Wait node. If not, it proceeds.

  4. Fetch and Store Data

    • Once the Bright Data job is complete, the HTTP Request - Getting data from Bright Data node fetches all the scraped job listings.
    • This raw data is then appended to a Google Sheet using the Google Sheets - Adding All Job Posts node for record-keeping.

  5. AI-Powered Analysis

    • The Split Out node processes each job listing one by one.
    • Each listing's details (company name, title, description) are sent to the Basic LLM Chain - Checking Fit node, which is powered by an OpenAI Chat Model.
    • The AI is prompted to determine if you are a good fit for the role based on your predefined criteria (e.g., "I'm looking for roles in Pfizer"). It returns a simple YES or NO.

  6. Update Spreadsheet with Insights

    • Finally, the second Google Sheets node updates the corresponding row in the spreadsheet, adding the AI's YES/NO analysis into a new column, "AM I a Fit?".

  • Recruitment Lead Generation: Recruiters can find companies with high hiring intent for specific positions and reach out with qualified candidates.
